Makes sense considering most tournaments held are based on the two most recent blocks and most recent core set only. Most tournaments are Standard opposed to Extended.

I'd never get into a tournament. My most recent card is a good four years old. :lol:

I personally just started playing again so I have played in about 10 tournaments in the last 2 months. Placed 2nd or 3rd in every single one except for like two, still pissed about not winning first place considering it is for prizes.

I play with my friend's decks from time to time. I usually play with his green Elves deck. Based on speed (Llanowar Elves ftw) and health regain (I forgot the name of the card, but tap and gain life equal to each elf in you control). I have won nearly every time so far with it, it's just incredible.

That card that let's you tap it to gain life equal to the number elves you control is Wellwishers. I played against an elf deck in a tournament and I was literally negating their 50 life gain per turn with 50 damage per turn and higher, I didn't win by direct damage I just ended up milling him. Was funny shit and he was not to happy about it.

Fucking hate playing against elf decks, they slaughter all but one of my decks.

I've given up trying to keep up with the current core set.
I just play with buddies every once in a while.
