King Crimson
What the hell guys, no talk about these guys? FOR SRS?
These guys, liek, defined TROO progressive rock with In The Court of the Crimson King, and basically changed the way a lot of people listened to music. They got my dad into heavy, weird music in the 60's and he shared them with me and got me into heavy, weird music in the 2006's (Okay earlier than that - More like 2000 or 2001, but that was catchy sounding). I was always hugely into In the Court, and recently got In the Wake of Poseidon which was their 2nd+last album in that traditional psychesqueprog style due to band drama and line up shifts. After that they changed their style to become a lot weirder, stuff I haven't really heard but Fripp is pretty much damn good and I know a lot of people like some o those albums.
If you actually wanna know stuff about the band, the wiki is fuckin huge: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/King_crimson
Pretty much these guys know how to get shit done. One album. 5 tracks. Not a bad moment on the whole damn thing.

The yellow jester does not play, but gently pulls the strings.. and smiles, as the puppets dance, in the court of the crimson king...

Re: King Crimson
Just recently got In the Wake of Poseidon. I think I might like this one more than In the Court, who knows, only time will tell. Both are great albums and I need to get more. Slowly but surely...
