Elder

very cool traditional doom band that likes to mix it up and display their instrumental dexterity while still laying down thick jams. songs like "Ill Black Midnight" will pummel you six feet into the ground and serenade you to a cold-sweated sleep.

BORING SLEEP RIP OFF YAWN I'D RATHER LISTEN TO HOLY MOUNTAIN THAN THEIR SELF TITLED though I do appreciate their attempts to throw in some neat little NWOBHM bits every now and again.

Legit, though, if you're going to steal sleep riffs DON'T SING LIKE AL CISNEROS! It may have worked for the Black Sabbath fans, but it's not working for you. It was fun until I caught you at your game. Evil or Very Mad

Edit: Oops, the day I was complaining about not seeing Mission of Burma in Northampton I coulda stayed around to see them with Black Pyramid. That woulda been a great show... :( Shitty.

only thing of elder's i'm remotely familiar with is the split with Queen Elephantine. I remember Elder standing out in that split, but it wasn't something I particularly wanted to follow closely.
